About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team in Northern Ontario. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by building and maintaining valuable relationships with prospects and clients.

Your primary accountability will be to develop and acquire new business revenue through sales to new and existing clients with emphasis on small to mid-size companies with high revenue.

  • Participating in team sales situations with other producers and support personnel
  • Developing a pipeline of business opportunities that are an appropriate mix of new clients and account expansion
  • Introducing Gallagher's full-service offering to broaden the scope and impact of client relationships assisting, educating and mentoring other staff members in new client sales situations and existing client service requirements You will convey deep technical expertise and business insight in helping clients evaluate opportunities to reduce cost, risk and improve the overall competitiveness of benefits, retirement and HR services
  • Constantly stay ahead of industry, market and legislative trends that impact health & welfare plan design, delivery and compliance
  • Reciprocally develop proposals that are fiscally sound, reflect an appropriate investment in the client, and demonstrate the overall capabilities of Gallagher
  • Establishing and maintaining inter division/intercompany relationships consistent with our workplace culture.
Your Background

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Significant consultative B2B sales experience
  • Have developed new business as well as maintained an existing customer base
  • Experience in the Benefits Administration and Consulting industry is ideal

  • Ability to work effectively in a team selling environment

The salary for this position is approximately $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a wide range of benefits including flexible medical & dental coverage, life insurance options, retirement savings, and educational expense reimbursement.
