Hiring Details: Full-Time, Permanent; 35 hours per week

We are seeking an experienced Account Broker to join our team at NFP Corp. As a key member of our business development team, you will be responsible for driving financial and non-financial outcomes that support organic revenue growth and retention.

You will effectively negotiate with insurance carriers, demonstrating an unmistakable command of the risk, and seize opportunities to creatively upsell and cross-sell, leading to greater client product density and expanded account margin.

In partnership with Account Executives and Account Managers in Ontario, you will develop coverage strategies and marketing initiatives for remarketing and prospective business, including cross-sell and up-sell initiatives, and close coverage gaps or deficiencies.

You will collaborate with the account management team and clients to ensure complete, timely, and highly differentiated submissions are presented to markets, respond to carrier queries, compile carrier quote proposals, and critically analyze each proposal.

You will present prospects or clients with a clear summary of the marketing process and a proposal with recommendations, prepare coverage comparisons, diagnostics, consolidated coverage/policy analyses, letters, and reports under the direction of the Senior Broker or SVP, Broking.

Able to work collaboratively as a key team member and mentor to junior team members, your proven technical competency and creativity will demonstrate excellence in developing and delivering innovative property and casualty solutions.

With a confident, poised, and interactive demeanor when client-facing, you will communicate effectively, demonstrating emotional intelligence and understanding how to tailor responses in dynamic situations.

You should have proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and possess a Provincial P&C License, required or obtained within 90 days of employment.

The estimated annual salary for this role is $85,000-$105,000 based on industry standards and location.
