We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Banking Director to lead our mid-market team in Canada, specifically in London, Ontario. Job Summary

The Commercial Banking Director will be responsible for managing a team of Senior Client Relationship Managers, Client Relationship Managers, and Associate Group Leads. As a key member of the Commercial Banking leadership team, you will be expected to provide strategic guidance, tactical planning, and day-to-day management to achieve financial objectives and deepen relationships with commercial clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute tactical plans to drive business growth, client acquisition, and retention in the mid-market segment.
  • Lead and manage a high-performing team of sales professionals to achieve revenue targets and exceed customer expectations.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to deliver holistic solutions for clients, leveraging expertise from various departments such as credit analysis, risk management, and product specialists.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and providing tailored advice to meet their financial goals.
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes affecting the commercial banking industry.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Proven track record of driving business growth, sales leadership, and team management in a commercial banking environment.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial banking products, services, and credit analysis principles.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills, with the ability to build trust and motivate high-performing teams.
  • Ability to analyze complex business data, identify opportunities, and develop targeted strategies to drive results.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Working Conditions
  • This role requires frequent travel within Canada, particularly in the Ontario region.
  • Flexibility to work non-standard hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
  • Able to handle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing circumstances.
