Exciting Opportunity in Energy Transition

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our efforts in strategic stakeholder engagement and policy development for Alberta's energy transition.

The successful candidate will assist the Executive Director in driving key initiatives advancing policy development around emerging resources, including critical minerals and nuclear.

This is a full-time permanent position working 36.25 hours per week, with the opportunity to work from either Edmonton or Calgary.

The salary range for this position is $92,627.60 - $141,662.45 per year, based on a 36.25 hour workweek.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in policy administration, strategic stakeholder engagement, leadership, and management.

  • Prior experience working in the energy and minerals industry.
  • Experience interpreting and implementing legislation, regulations, and policies related to energy transition.
  • A sound understanding and experience in applying knowledge of provincial, national, and international issues in the Energy Transition space.
About This Role

This Senior Manager will oversee all aspects of program delivery and issue resolution while collaborating with the management team in the Branch.

The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in a related field and have prior experience managing a large and diverse group of staff.

  • Drive key initiatives advancing policy development around emerging resources.
  • Develop and improve regulatory regimes to incentivize investment in low carbon energy opportunities.
  • Conduct long-term environmental scanning and risk management to understand emerging decarbonization technologies and manufacturing opportunities.
