Role Overview
At Corteva Agriscience, we are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Account Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven professional to implement the direct sales process with selected Strategic Accounts within the Corteva Seed and Crop Protection business.
As a Strategic Account Manager, you will be responsible for establishing sustainable business relationships with clients and coordinating support to enable full utility of services. You will work closely with the sales team to execute a comprehensive call strategy and position and support Corteva crop protection products with all assigned accounts.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Conducting business analysis of assigned grower accounts
- Executing comprehensive call strategy in collaboration with the Sales Team
- Positioning and supporting Corteva crop protection products with all assigned accounts
- Delivering precision agronomy and communicating product knowledge
- Negotiating and coordinating value proposition delivery
- Meeting assigned unit and revenue targets
- Developing value proposition to assist growers in achieving higher productivity
- Leading the coordination of the support and sales teams to deliver on business needs analysis
- Coordinating customer activities to provide support and strengthen relationships
- Coordinating the delivery of precision agronomy, product knowledge, and agronomic services
- Demonstrating the ability to increase penetration by calling on prospects and building relationships that lead to new revenue opportunities
- Understanding customer needs and providing feedback to the organization on product performance, program effectiveness, and competitive activity
- Suggesting improvements or alternative tactics to help achieve commercial area and territory goals
- Continuing to develop professionally by remaining current with new technologies, management innovations, and sales management developments
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Business, Marketing, or related field
- 7 years of Ag sales or field agronomy experience, managing and coaching individuals
- Experience working with strategic accounts in local geography
- Solid understanding of agronomic cultural practices
