Strategic Commercial Banking Relationship Manager

This role is a key part of Scotiabank's National Accounts team, focusing on developing and growing complex client relationships in the commercial banking sector.
About the JobThe ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in commercial banking, with a strong understanding of the Canadian market and its key players. They will also possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as a proven track record of driving business growth and developing strong customer relationships.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute strategies to deepen relationships with existing clients and identify new business opportunities within the assigned market area.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide integrated financial solutions that meet the needs of each relationship.
- Maintain a high level of knowledge about local market conditions and competitor activity, ensuring Scotiabank remains competitive in the market.
- Build and maintain relationships with key industry leaders and influencers to expand Scotiabank's network and stay informed about market trends.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and Bank policies, maintaining a culture of risk management throughout the organization.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in commercial banking, with a focus on National Accounts.
- Expert knowledge of the Canadian commercial banking market, including key players and competitors.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to articulate views both internally and externally.
- Strong PC skills, including proficiency in MS Office and other commercial systems.
- An undergraduate degree in business or economics, or equivalent work experience.
The successful candidate will be required to work in a standard office environment, with frequent travel primarily within Canada. They will be expected to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines, working effectively in a fast-paced environment.
