Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Sun Communities, Inc. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of quality and service are maintained.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution
    • Develop and implement menus that meet the needs and preferences of our guests
    • Source high-quality ingredients and supplies to support menu offerings
  • Culinary Leadership
    • Lead and motivate a team of cooks and kitchen staff to achieve exceptional results
    • Provide guidance and training to ensure staff are equipped to deliver outstanding service
  • Food Safety and Quality
    • Ensure strict adherence to food safety and handling procedures
    • Monitor and maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness and organization
  • Inventory Management
    • Manage inventory levels and ordering to minimize waste and optimize resources
    • Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional service to guests, responding to their needs and preferences
    • Ensure that all guests receive a warm and welcoming experience
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree or certification preferred
    • Minimum 6 months of experience in a senior kitchen role
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Proven leadership and management skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
