The Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) is seeking an experienced Executive Officer to join our team in Ottawa. This role will play a critical part in supporting the union's goals and objectives, specifically in the area of labour relations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing expert advice on classification procedures and policies to PSAC officers and members;
  • Reviewing arbitration or adjudication decisions and assisting in the preparation of cases for appeal or judicial review;
  • Developing training courses and materials on classification and labour law, and participating in seminars and workshops to share knowledge and expertise.
Requirements
  • A strong background in labour relations, with experience in classification procedures and policies;
  • Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex legal texts and collective agreements;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
