Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year

Job Description:Labor Relations

We are seeking an experienced Labor Relations specialist to join our Human Resources team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Interpreting and applying collective agreements to ensure compliance and consistency in labor relations practices across the organization
  • Leading investigations of routine and complex workplace investigations, including allegations of bullying and harassment
  • Responding to employee and union grievances, working collaboratively with managers, union representatives, and employees to resolve issues promptly and effectively
  • Participating in collective bargaining preparation, negotiations, and research
  • Developing and delivering training on labor relations principles, performance management practices, and effective communication with unionized employees
Employee Relations

The successful candidate will also be responsible for:

  • Enhancing compliance to workplace policies, labor laws, and collective agreements by providing counsel to managers and employees on compliance-related matters
  • Leading and supporting the Human Resources program lifecycle
  • Driving leadership development to enhance management capability, agility, and value for the organization
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Labour Law, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in labor relations and employee relations in complex unionized environments
  • Expertise in interpreting and applying collective agreements, labor laws, and workplace policies
  • Conflict and relationship management skills
  • Natural analytical and critical thinking skills
