Senior Analyst, Corporate Strategy

Position Overview: Reporting to the Senior Manager of Strategy, the Senior Analyst will play a crucial role within the Strategy team, collaborating closely with cross-functional leaders and the executive leadership team on various strategic and operational initiatives. This position will facilitate the Divisional strategic planning process, targeted strategy formulation, as well as competitive and macroeconomic analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate Corporate Strategy Development: Lead the Division Strategic Planning Process (annual and long-term planning) and partner with cross-functional teams to assess business opportunities and formulate capital investment proposals.
  • Support Strategic Priorities and Projects: Provide thought leadership, problem-solving expertise, quantitative and qualitative analysis, and workshop facilitation. Collaborate with cross-functional business leaders to develop new strategic initiatives and prepare project plans for effective implementation. Ensure effective communication and change management with both corporate and in-field business partners.
  • Monitor External Environment: Analyze macroeconomic trends, competitive activities, and retail and customer trends.
  • Prepare Executive Materials: Develop presentations and materials for the Board of Directors and Executive Team.
  • Champion Customer-Centric Strategies: Ensure that all strategies begin with a focus on the customer.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in a related field (consulting, finance, internal strategy, or professional services).
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Engineering is required.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to develop and analyze financial and strategic models.
  • Ability to think strategically and navigate ambiguity effectively.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and capable of producing high-quality work under pressure and within deadlines, demonstrating a strong sense of ownership.
  • Intellectually curious with a passion for retail and problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence in presenting to Senior Management.
  • Positive, action-oriented, and resourceful attitude.
  • Financial designations (CPA, CFA, CBV) are considered an asset but are not mandatory.
