Position Overview: Reporting to the Senior Manager of Strategy, the Senior Analyst will play a crucial role within the Strategy team, collaborating closely with cross-functional leaders and the executive leadership team on a variety of strategic and operational initiatives. This position will facilitate the Divisional strategic planning process, targeted strategy formulation, as well as competitive and macroeconomic surveillance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate Corporate Strategy Development: Lead the Division Strategic Planning Process (annual and long-term planning). Partner with cross-functional teams to assess business opportunities and formulate capital investment proposals.
  • Support Strategic Priorities and Projects: Provide thought leadership, problem-solving expertise, quantitative and qualitative analysis, workshop facilitation, and actionable recommendations. Collaborate with cross-functional business leaders to establish new strategic initiatives and develop project plans for implementation. Engage with both corporate and field business partners to ensure effective communication and change management.
  • Monitor External Environment: Keep track of macroeconomic trends, competitive activities, and retail and customer trends.
  • Prepare Executive Materials: Develop presentations and materials for the Board of Directors and Executive Team.
  • Champion Customer-Centric Strategies: Ensure that customer insights are at the forefront of all strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in a relevant field (consulting, finance, internal strategy, or professional services).
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Engineering is required.
  • Proven analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to develop and interpret financial and strategic models.
  • Strong strategic thinking capabilities and comfort with ambiguity.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and capable of delivering high-quality work under pressure and within deadlines, demonstrating a strong sense of ownership.
  • Intellectually curious with a passion for retail and problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence in presenting to Senior Management.
  • Positive, action-oriented, and resourceful attitude.
  • Financial designations (CPA, CFA, CBV) are considered an asset but are not mandatory.
