Position Overview: The Senior Analyst, Strategy will play a crucial role within the Strategy team, directly reporting to the Senior Manager of Strategy. This position involves collaboration with cross-functional leaders and the executive team to drive various strategic and operational initiatives. The analyst will contribute to the divisional strategic planning process, targeted strategy formulation, and monitoring of competitive and macroeconomic landscapes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Corporate Strategy Development: Facilitate the Division's Strategic Planning Process, encompassing both annual and long-term planning. Work alongside cross-functional teams to assess business opportunities and craft capital investment proposals.
  • Support Strategic Initiatives: Provide leadership in thought processes, problem-solving, and both quantitative and qualitative analyses. Lead or assist cross-functional business leaders in formulating new strategic initiatives and developing project plans for effective implementation. Ensure smooth communication and change management with corporate and in-field partners.
  • External Environment Monitoring: Keep abreast of macroeconomic trends, competitive actions, and retail and customer behavior.
  • Executive Presentations: Prepare high-quality executive materials and presentations for stakeholders, including the Board of Directors and Executive Team.
  • Customer-Centric Strategy: Advocate for the customer as the foundation for all strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a relevant field such as consulting, finance, internal strategy, or professional services.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Engineering is required.
  • Proven analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to develop and interpret financial and strategic models.
  • Strong strategic thinking capabilities and comfort with ambiguity.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and capable of delivering high-quality work under pressure, demonstrating a strong sense of ownership.
  • Intellectually curious with a passion for retail and problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication skills, with confidence in presenting to senior management.
  • Positive, action-oriented, and resourceful attitude.
  • Financial designations such as CPA, CFA, or CBV are considered an asset but are not mandatory.

Working Conditions:

  • Minimal travel is expected (less than 5%).
