Overview of the Role

The Senior Strategic Pricing Analyst is tasked with ensuring that the pricing strategies align with the business objectives and market demands.

This role encompasses comprehensive financial analysis support for the Sales SG&A corporate function, alongside the calculation and management of Sales Commissions. The analyst will engage in various financial activities, including trend analysis, modeling, forecasting, planning, and reporting for the Financial Planning and Analysis team. The incumbent will synthesize data from diverse sources within the organization, employing their quantitative and analytical expertise to derive actionable insights from the data. The Senior Strategic Pricing Analyst will frequently present and communicate their findings to the leadership team of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and evaluate P&L analytics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

• Calculate Sales Commissions monthly, including data extraction, analysis, and validation in accordance with established guidelines.

• Provide financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting support for designated SG&A functions.

• Assist in the annual planning processes for corporate sectors of the organization.

• Proactively represent the corporate finance perspective in internal discussions regarding overall profitability.

• Conduct trend analysis to facilitate proactive decision-making.

• Analyze and provide insights for KPIs related to specific functions, including Sales and Sales Commissions.

• Manage moderate processes and/or segments of complex processes.

• Participate in specialized financial and business-related studies as necessary to support project objectives.

• Continuously assess procedures to better understand and identify future needs and challenges.

• Lead and guide the work of other analysts as assigned.

• Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3 - 5 years of experience in a similar analytical role.

• 3 - 5 years of experience in developing and maintaining complex financial models using MS-Excel.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Suite, and financial modeling.

• Experience with large databases and a proven ability to deliver analytics.

• Familiarity with Oracle, Hyperion Essbase, and Smartview.

• Experience in a large operating environment with diverse geographic locations.

• Proven track record of owning and contributing to processes.

• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• MBA, CPA, or CMA is preferred.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
