Position Overview

Candidate must possess the legal right to work in Canada.

This role is a pivotal part of the Segment Strategy team, reporting directly to the Director of Segment Strategy. The primary focus is to enhance shareholder value by spearheading critical strategic initiatives across the Segment. This position is primarily remote and may require occasional travel to client locations.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Manager will play a vital role in shaping strategies that foster above-market growth, both organically and through acquisitions. Responsibilities include:

  • Guiding the Segment in making informed decisions on growth opportunities and competitive positioning.
  • Leading cross-functional teams to address complex business challenges through a structured, hypothesis-driven methodology.
  • Managing projects and crafting executive-level presentations that articulate findings and strategic recommendations.
  • Supporting the strategic planning process and enhancing the organization’s strategic capabilities.
  • Tracking the execution of long-term strategies and suggesting necessary adjustments based on performance metrics.
  • Mentoring and developing junior team members, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Evaluating market trends and their potential impact on the business in both the short and long term.
  • Advising senior leadership on identifying promising opportunities and acquisition targets to bolster the product portfolio.
Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates should demonstrate:

  • A strong business acumen and strategic mindset.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • A proven track record in management consulting and corporate strategy, particularly within the industrial or automotive sectors.
  • Experience in interfacing with executive leadership and effectively conveying strategic ideas.
  • Leadership capabilities, showcasing maturity and discretion in a business environment.
Educational Background

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Undergraduate and graduate degrees, with a strong preference for engineering or MBA qualifications.
  • Proficiency in strategic planning and implementation within complex organizations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to prioritize key initiatives.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, capable of synthesizing complex information into clear messages.
Compensation

TE Connectivity offers a competitive base salary, commensurate with experience.

Travel Requirements

This position may involve travel up to 25%.
