Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Sales and Technical Support Specialist to become a vital part of our team on a full-time basis.

Role Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary contact for Flender clients in a designated region, addressing inquiries related to new applications and aftersales services.
  • Engage in business development efforts, including the acquisition of new clients and conducting contract negotiations.
  • Review customer requests, prepare and submit tenders, ensuring compliance with contract specifications.
  • Coordinate the preparation of work orders and manage order entries across multiple Flender manufacturing facilities.
  • Collaborate with other Flender Business Units to follow up on delivery schedules as necessary.
  • Serve as a liaison to technical departments within Flender, ensuring accurate product specifications and the issuance of required technical documentation.
  • Provide technical assistance and training to both internal and external sales teams, along with customer visits as needed.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A post-secondary degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with AutoCAD or the ability to interpret engineering drawings is advantageous.
  • Experience in mechanical power transmission will be considered a significant asset.
  • Strong project management skills, capable of handling multiple application inquiries and service repair projects concurrently.
  • Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of French and German is a plus.
  • A willingness to travel to Flender's facilities for training and collaboration.
  • Certification with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) is beneficial, though candidates pursuing certification are encouraged to apply.
