The chosen candidate will be tasked with assisting Flender's esteemed clients within a designated region, addressing their inquiries regarding new applications and aftersales services.

Key Responsibilities:

Flender Corporation Canada is actively searching for a Sales and Technical Support Specialist to join our mechanical team in Edmonton, Alberta. This role involves providing solutions and services, driving business development, and acquiring new clients, which includes contract negotiations and finalizing agreements. Responsibilities include reviewing client requests, preparing proposals, submitting them to clients, and ensuring that Flender meets contract specifications. The role also entails preparing work orders, processing orders with various Flender manufacturing facilities, and collaborating with other Flender Business Units to follow up on deliveries as necessary. The position will also oversee other project management aspects within the business unit.

As a member of the technical sales and service support team, this role will serve as the primary liaison to technical departments within Flender plants, ensuring accurate technical specifications of products and issuing necessary technical documentation. Additional responsibilities may include providing technical guidance and training to both inside and outside sales teams, as well as visiting clients in designated regions as required.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

The ideal candidate will hold a post-secondary degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline, with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential, and familiarity with AutoCAD or the ability to interpret engineering drawings is advantageous. Candidates with experience in mechanical power transmission will be given special consideration. Applicants must demonstrate a proven track record of successful teamwork and the ability to take initiative and work effectively with minimal supervision. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are essential. Experience in project management is crucial, as the candidate will be expected to manage multiple application inquiries and service repair projects concurrently. Fluency in English is required, while knowledge of French and German is a plus. Candidates must also be open to potential travel to Flender's manufacturing facilities in Europe for sales or technical training. Certification with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) is a plus, but qualified candidates working towards certification are encouraged to apply.
