Engine Calibration Specialist

Job Overview:
The Engine Calibration Specialist for Emissions and Driveability plays a crucial role in formulating engine calibrations that comply with LEV II and LEV III emission regulations while ensuring optimal system cost and exceptional driveability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with base engine hardware teams, scientific laboratories, and vehicle development groups.
- Design and execute best practice calibration and design solutions.
- Conduct verification testing aligned with powertrain system performance objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science from an ABET accredited institution.
- 0-3 years of experience in the development of emission systems calibration.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science from an ABET accredited institution.
- Experience with Hardware In the Loop development and verification, as well as database management.
- Proficiency in Matlab, Simulink, Data Acquisition, and Excel is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience with engine repair is essential.
- Focus on gasoline engine lines is preferred, with limited exposure to diesel engines.
Additional Requirements:
- Residency in Ontario is mandatory.
- Willingness to travel to the US for occasional meetings, not exceeding 1 to 2 times per month.
- Driving is required for this position.
- This is a hybrid role.
