Powertrain Calibration Specialist

Position Overview: Engine Calibration Specialist for Emissions and Driveability
The role involves the development of engine calibrations aimed at achieving emission compliance while ensuring optimal driveability performance. This position requires collaboration with various teams including base engine hardware release groups, laboratories, and vehicle engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop engine calibrations that meet stringent emission regulations while minimizing overall system costs.
- Work closely with hardware release teams and vehicle engineering groups to ensure seamless integration.
- Apply best practices in design and calibration methodologies.
- Conduct verification testing aligned with powertrain system objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science from an ABET accredited institution.
- Experience in the development of emission systems calibration.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science from an ABET accredited institution.
- Experience with Hardware In the Loop (HIL) development and database management.
- Proficient in Matlab, Simulink, Data Acquisition, and Excel.
- Hands-on experience with engine repair is essential.
- Focus on gasoline engine calibration is preferred.
Additional Requirements:
- Position based in Ontario.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for meetings.
- Driving is a requirement for this role.
- This is a hybrid work position.
