Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Calibration Dataset Management Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of calibration datasets used for vehicle development and manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all hybrid and engine controller calibration datasets to support vehicle development and production processes.
- Develop and maintain calibration data sets for powertrain calibration teams, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Document all calibration changes meticulously, providing clear and concise records for future reference.
- Conduct thorough calibration comparisons to identify discrepancies and ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with the calibration team to analyze vehicle data, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions.
- Support various calibration teams in resolving system-related challenges and preparing comprehensive documentation for production releases.
- Work closely with the hybrid propulsion system development team, contributing to the successful integration of new technologies.
- Conduct release DVP&Rs (Design Verification & Validation Plans & Reports) in vehicles to validate the effectiveness of calibration changes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven professional experience in the automotive industry or a similar sector.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling effective collaboration with diverse teams.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
- In-depth knowledge of powertrain systems and their operation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with propulsion systems, including hybrids, engine, transmission, or hybrid propulsion system calibration.
- Experience in software development and release processes.
