Transmission Calibration Specialist Job Overview
The Transmission Calibration Specialist is tasked with overseeing the calibration processes related to transmission clutch control and drive strategy. Key responsibilities include:
- Creating methodologies and tools to facilitate analysis and validation
- Ensuring the delivery of precise calibrations for new initiatives
- Designing and validating new functionalities
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and suppliers to fulfill program specifications
- Assisting in test evaluations to confirm optimal transmission performance
- Diagnosing and formulating solutions to technical challenges
This role necessitates a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical, mechanical, aerospace, or automotive engineering from an accredited institution. Additional qualifications include:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in the automotive sector
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with Matlab scripting and other data analysis languages
- Advanced proficiency in English
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Experience in managing production calibration databases
- Understanding of software and tools for calibration, measurement, and analysis
