Job Summary:
The Powertrain Engine Calibration Engineer will be responsible for developing engine calibrations to meet stringent emission standards while delivering exceptional driveability. This role will involve collaboration with cross-functional teams, including base engine hardware releasing groups, scientific labs, and vehicle teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement best practice design and calibration solutions to meet LEV II and LEV III emission standards.
- Perform verification testing in accordance with powertrain system functional objectives.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and implement calibration solutions.
- Work with data management systems to track and analyze calibration data.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from an ABET accredited University.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in emission systems calibration development.
Preferred Requirements:
- Master of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a Master of Science in Computer Science from an ABET accredited University.
- Experience with Hardware In the Loop development/verification and database management.
- Proficiency in Matlab, Simulink, Data Acquisition, and Excel.
Additional Requirements:
- Must live in Ontario.
- Must be able to travel to the US for occasional meetings.
- Driving is required.
- This is a hybrid position.
