Role Responsibilities

As a Resident Services Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing resident interactions and delivering outstanding service to all residents and guests.
  • Communicating professionally with residents, visitors, and staff.
  • Proactively addressing resident concerns and taking appropriate actions to resolve issues.
  • Demonstrating knowledge of all services and amenities available and promoting them to residents as needed.
  • Maintaining a visible and approachable presence within the community.
  • Providing information and responding to inquiries from residents, visitors, and staff, referring to the appropriate personnel when necessary.
  • Coordinating transportation services for residents, including taxi and courtesy shuttle bookings.
  • Delivering exceptional customer service and supporting various departments such as dining, sales, maintenance, and housekeeping.
  • Receiving and managing incoming packages and deliveries.
  • Assisting residents and families with luggage and parcels as required.
  • Ensuring access control to the building and collaborating with the Door Attendant.
  • Fostering a culture of safety by adhering to safe work practices and reporting hazards.
  • Upholding Parkland's Standards of Conduct and policies.
  • Exhibiting excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A passion for working with seniors and experience in retirement living or the hospitality sector.
  • A high school diploma (or GED); an Office Administration/Professional Secretarial diploma or a University Degree is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a client services or administrative role.
  • Strong customer service skills, a positive demeanor, excellent verbal and written communication abilities, and proficient computer skills.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Advanced proficiency in English; proficiency in additional languages is considered an asset.
