Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to oversee our fire alarm installation and panel projects across various sectors including commercial, educational, healthcare, and industrial environments. The Project Manager will act as a key representative of the company, ensuring effective communication with clients and architects/engineers throughout the project lifecycle. This role involves managing all aspects of project execution from initial design through to completion, including obtaining necessary permits, coordinating material deliveries, scheduling labor, and supervising field installations.

This position is vital for ensuring projects are completed successfully while managing critical elements such as: project scope, budget, timelines, financials, risk management, quality assurance, and resource allocation, all while adhering to the highest standards of quality.

Key Duties:

Lead the comprehensive schedule for product development, ensuring validation and certifications are achieved through collaboration with cross-functional teams including Hardware, Firmware, Software Engineering, Mechanical and Industrial Design, Validation, Quality Assurance, and UL/FM Certifications. Coordinate internal resources and external vendors to ensure projects are executed effectively. Define project tasks, monitor progress, and provide regular updates to the team and management regarding project status, including risks, concerns, milestones, and proposed solutions. Communicate any project changes effectively. Conduct cost analysis and monitor project expenses, assisting in the validation of plans for approval. Prepare and review essential project documentation such as Marketing Requirements, Product Design Specifications, Statements of Work, Test Plans, and Reports. Collaborate closely with departments such as Production and Supply Chain to ensure timely delivery of components, materials, prototypes, samples, and finished products. Facilitate collaboration among project stakeholders, fostering a positive team environment and implementing agile methodologies. Employ critical thinking to innovate and enhance existing processes and schedules, focusing on solution-oriented approaches. Manage multiple diverse assignments or projects simultaneously, ensuring seamless operations.

Qualifications and Skills:

University Degree or College Diploma. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in technical project management with a proven history of successful project delivery. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams through the development process across various disciplines: Hardware, Firmware, Software Engineering, Mechanical and Industrial Design, Validation, and Quality Assurance, with exposure to UL/FM/FCC certifications. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for interfacing with peers and reporting to senior leadership, along with excellent interpersonal and presentation skills. Highly organized, capable of managing multiple tasks and setting priorities in a dynamic, high-pressure environment. Ability to define and prioritize work for the development team with meticulous attention to detail. Strong time management skills, including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent projects while responding swiftly to changes. Capacity to execute strategies and tactics, build relationships, organize processes, and think analytically and critically. Energetic, flexible, detail-oriented, and adaptable team player in a fast-paced environment. Solid understanding of analytics and the ability to present key metrics effectively. Strong customer focus, business acumen, and comprehension of business operations. Familiarity with Waterfall and Agile development methodologies and their application to Hardware. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Project Management tools. Attention to detail is a crucial job skill. Experience in the Fire and Alarm industry is advantageous. PMP or Scrum Certification is a plus. Experience in a Manufacturing environment is beneficial.
