Position Overview: The Senior Project Supervisor will report directly to the Vice President of Construction and will be responsible for overseeing and guiding all assigned Project Managers and the various phases of the awarded projects, from initial drafting and design through to production, delivery, and installation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all projects adhere to established schedules, timelines, and budgetary constraints.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to Project Managers, Project Coordinators, and Field Coordinators.
  • Collaborate with other Project Supervisors to address process-related challenges and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Engage with Engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise.
  • Work closely with the Project Management Team to develop project timelines and maintain effective communication with clients.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, resource allocation, and provide updates on project status.
  • Represent the organization in dealings with customers, consultants, contractors, and suppliers as needed.
  • Prepare and review all project Change Order Requests (CCOs) and ensure timely submission to clients.
  • Assist Project Managers in compiling comprehensive project schedules, including critical dates for shop drawing submissions, material procurement, and installation timelines.
  • Facilitate cross-functional reviews of shop drawings to ensure compliance with client specifications and to streamline manufacturing and installation processes.
  • Review project scopes, specifications, and tender documents to identify discrepancies and prepare necessary checklists for project initiation.
  • Evaluate and provide feedback on subcontracts, purchase orders, change orders, and progress draws as required.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure that all materials meet project timelines in collaboration with the Purchasing Director.
  • Initiate and lead meetings with Project Managers and field teams to identify and resolve any issues affecting project progress.
  • Conduct site visits as necessary to oversee project developments.
  • Organize departmental and client meetings to ensure project objectives and deadlines are met.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Architectural Technology, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering is required. A Project Management Professional Certification or equivalent experience is preferred. Candidates should possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership capacity within the construction sector.

Work Environment: The role involves a combination of on-site and office work, with some exposure to physical risks that necessitate adherence to safety protocols. Candidates should be prepared to wear appropriate safety gear during site visits and may be required to work overtime as needed.
