Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to oversee the execution of fire alarm system installations and panel projects across various sectors including commercial, educational, healthcare, and industrial environments. The Project Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for clients and architects/engineers, ensuring effective communication and representation of the company.

This role is essential in steering projects from conception to completion, encompassing design, permitting, material procurement, labor scheduling, and on-site installation.

Key Duties:

Manage the comprehensive timeline for product development, ensuring collaboration among cross-functional teams: Hardware, Firmware, Software Engineering, Mechanical and Industrial Design, Validation, Quality Assurance, and UL/FM Certifications. Facilitate coordination between internal resources and external vendors to ensure project success. Define project tasks, monitor progress, and provide regular updates to stakeholders regarding project status, including risks, concerns, milestones, and proposed solutions. Conduct cost analysis and oversee project budgets, assisting in the validation of plans for approval. Prepare and review project-related documentation such as Marketing Requirements, Product Design Specifications, Statements of Work, and Test Plans and Reports. Collaborate closely with departments like Production and Supply Chain to guarantee timely delivery of components, materials, prototypes, and products. Foster collaboration among project stakeholders, promote teamwork, and implement agile methodologies. Innovate and enhance existing processes and schedules, focusing on effective solutions. Manage multiple diverse projects simultaneously, ensuring seamless operations.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma. Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical project management with a proven history of successful project delivery. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams through the development lifecycle, including Hardware, Firmware, Software Engineering, Mechanical and Industrial Design, Validation, and Quality Assurance, with exposure to UL/FM/FCC certifications. Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with peers and report to senior leadership, along with excellent interpersonal and presentation abilities. Highly organized, capable of managing multiple tasks and prioritizing in a fast-paced environment. Ability to define and prioritize tasks for the development team with meticulous attention to detail. Proficient time management skills, including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent projects while responding swiftly to changes. Capability to execute strategies, build relationships, organize processes, and think critically. Energetic, flexible, detail-oriented, and adaptable team player in a dynamic setting. Strong analytical skills with the ability to present key metrics effectively. Customer-focused with a solid understanding of business operations. Familiarity with Waterfall and Agile development methodologies and their application to Hardware. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Project Management tools. Attention to detail is a crucial job skill. Experience in the Fire and Alarm industry is advantageous. PMP or Scrum Certification is a plus. Experience in a Manufacturing environment is beneficial.
