Position Summary: We are currently seeking a Senior Construction Project Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This role will report directly to one of our seasoned Project Managers (PMs) and will encompass a variety of responsibilities aimed at ensuring project success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Project Manager in the initiation and organization of projects.
- Ensure that all essential project Start-up documents are collected and efficiently distributed to clients.
- Assist in the administration of tender awards to subcontractors and suppliers, including the evaluation of bids as necessary.
- Oversee the management of subcontractor Start-up Documents, ensuring all are complete and accurate.
- Facilitate the Project Submittal process, maintaining logs and ensuring adherence to project specifications.
- Manage the Requests for Information (RFI) process, including the review and submission of RFIs, ensuring timely resolutions.
- Participate in regular project meetings, documenting minutes, logs, and updates as provided by the project team.
- Assist the Project Manager with the Proposed Change Order process, including the administration of change documents and compilation of subcontractor pricing.
- Oversee the Project Closeout process, assisting with the preparation of As-built drawings, creation of O&M manuals, scheduling training, and managing owner attic stock materials.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Project Coordinator in the Commercial (ICI) Construction sector, with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for managing documentation and relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Proficient in reading construction plans and understanding technical specifications.
- Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities.
- Familiarity with project management software, such as Jonas Premier, is advantageous.
