Hotel Management Team Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Managing Supervisor to join our team at BEST WESTERN PLUS. As a key member of our hotel management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our hotel, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and leading a team of staff to achieve our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Supervision
- Supervise and manage a team of 16-20 staff members, providing guidance, coaching, and training to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Lead by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic, and promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Guest Services
- Assist guests with special needs, ensuring their requirements are met and they have a memorable stay with us.
- Co-ordinate and review work to ensure seamless delivery of guest services, maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
- Operations and Administration
- Co-ordinate, assign, and review work to ensure efficient operation of hotel services, including front desk, housekeeping, and food and beverage.
- Requisition materials and supplies, maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely delivery.
- Maintain the operation of computer systems, equipment, and machinery, arranging repair work as needed to ensure business continuity and customer service delivery.
- Human Resources
- Hire and train staff in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies, ensuring they are equipped to provide exceptional guest experiences.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Performance Management
- Monitor and evaluate staff performance, providing constructive feedback and coaching to improve performance and achieve business objectives.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to optimize staff productivity and efficiency.
- Education
- College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
- Experience
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role in the hospitality industry.
- Skills and Qualities
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with guests, staff, and stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Work Environment
- Hotel, motel, resort environment, with a fast-paced and dynamic work atmosphere.
- Physical Demands
- Ability to work in a standing position for long periods, with frequent walking, bending, and lifting.
