Position Overview
We are seeking an Engineering Lead for Target Delivery Systems at our Ontario facility. Our Fuel Handling and Engineered Solutions division is engaged in the design, manufacturing, development, testing, and servicing of on-power refueling and reactor maintenance tools utilized globally. We pride ourselves on being the original developers of automated systems that facilitate continuous on-power refueling of CANDU reactors, addressing some of the most complex challenges in the nuclear industry.

Job Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership to a multidisciplinary engineering team responsible for the maintenance and operation of the Target Delivery System (TDS).
- Oversee the safe and reliable functioning of the TDS, including design modifications, operational support, and maintenance planning.
- Collaborate with the TDS Manager on resource allocation, recruitment, and onboarding processes.
- Address production challenges by leading cross-functional teams in effective problem-solving and decision-making.
- Engage with key partners to ensure seamless operations and maintenance support.
- Deliver immediate responses to unplanned maintenance issues, ensuring 24/7 support for production-related concerns.
- Participate in internal and external meetings, presenting technical data and leading design reviews.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations throughout all project activities.
- Travel may be required to support operations across various locations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Nuclear, or Software Engineering.
- Possession or pursuit of a valid PEO license.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in design or manufacturing engineering within regulated industries.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a design or manufacturing environment.
- Strong project management skills, including budget management and schedule adherence.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, suitable for diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software is preferred.
Desired Attributes
- Experience in the CANDU Nuclear Industry is highly valued.
- Familiarity with CSA Nuclear Codes and ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Codes.
- Understanding of risk-based modification processes and Engineering Change Control concepts.
