Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified Manager of Nuclear Medical Isotope Target Delivery System for our operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring the effective delivery of irradiated molybdenum to our medical division for further processing. The Target Delivery System operates within a complex nuclear environment, incorporating advanced automation for material irradiation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a diverse team to uphold the operational standards of the Target Delivery System, including daily operational support, design modifications, and maintenance management.
- Directly contribute to system support, leveraging knowledge of design processes and changes.
- Address production challenges by guiding cross-functional teams through problem-solving and decision-making processes.
- Plan and execute regular maintenance, particularly during reactor outages, ensuring compliance with established governance and quality assurance protocols.
- Develop long-term maintenance strategies that optimize efficiency and manage costs, collaborating with operational teams to minimize revenue impact.
- Provide immediate support for unplanned maintenance, ensuring timely responses to production disruptions.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration with maintenance teams to establish operational requirements and strategies.
- Implement performance tools and processes aimed at enhancing predictive reliability and maintenance efficiency.
- Guide the team in managing parts and supply kits effectively.
- Ensure robust project planning and reporting, meeting deadlines and budgetary constraints while achieving key performance metrics.
- Engage with key stakeholders, including operational and field service teams, to maintain program knowledge and commercial understanding.
- Present findings and updates to various stakeholder groups, including executive management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical field is preferred. Relevant technical certifications will also be considered.
- A minimum of ten years of experience in design, operations, or field services, with at least five years in a leadership capacity.
- Experience with complex equipment operations and maintenance, particularly within regulated industries.
- Strong leadership skills in engineering design, production, and maintenance program management.
- Proficient in resource management, scheduling, and financial oversight.
- Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, and communication abilities.
- Willingness to travel as required for operational support.
