Position Overview:
We are seeking a Manager for the Nuclear Medical Isotope Target Delivery System (TDS) to oversee operations at our facility. This role is pivotal in ensuring the timely delivery of irradiated molybdenum to our medical division for further processing. The TDS operates within a sophisticated nuclear piping system that integrates automation for material irradiation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a diverse team to uphold the operational standards of the TDS, including daily operational support, design modifications, spare parts procurement, and maintenance assistance.
- Directly contribute to system support, leveraging knowledge of design processes.
- Address production challenges by guiding cross-functional teams through effective troubleshooting and decision-making.
- Plan and execute regular maintenance, ensuring compliance with operational governance and quality assurance protocols.
- Develop long-term maintenance strategies that optimize efficiency and manage costs while collaborating with operational partners.
- Provide immediate support for unplanned maintenance, ensuring a 24/7 response to production issues.
- Facilitate coordination with maintenance teams to establish requirements and strategies.
- Implement performance tools and processes to enhance predictive reliability and cost-effectiveness in maintenance.
- Guide the team in managing parts and kits supply.
- Ensure effective project planning and reporting, meeting milestones on time and within budget.
- Engage with key partners, maintaining knowledge of commercial aspects of the program.
- Present updates to various stakeholder groups, including executive management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical field; relevant technical certifications may also be considered.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in design, operations, or field services, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Experience with complex equipment operations and maintenance.
- Demonstrated leadership in engineering design, production, or maintenance programs.
- Proficient in resource management, scheduling, and financial oversight.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Experience in regulated industries such as Nuclear, Aerospace, or Medical is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel as required.
Compensation:
The salary range for this position is competitive and will be determined based on local market factors and the candidate's qualifications. The total compensation package may include additional elements such as cash incentives and a comprehensive benefits program.
