Position Overview
As the Transportation and Fulfillment Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the logistics and fulfillment operations for our domestic and international markets. Your expertise will be essential in driving efficiency and effectiveness in our supply chain processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the Outbound Customer Order Process (OTC-Order to Cash) to ensure seamless operations.
- Lead and mentor the Customer Service team, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Prepare and deliver month-end reporting and closing activities in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with Sales to resolve order-related issues and enhance customer service.
- Ensure compliance with company standards for order processing and customer Requested Delivery Dates (RDD).
- Manage claims and investigations related to customer deductions and product discrepancies.
- Administer transportation budgets and negotiate contracts with carriers to optimize costs.
- Analyze transportation performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective measures.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with carriers and oversee their onboarding processes.
- Manage the payment process for freight invoices and oversee monthly accruals for freight activities.
- Work closely with Logistics Coordinators to minimize additional charges on inbound shipments.
- Engage with various stakeholders, including Sales, Marketing, and Finance, to ensure alignment and support.
- Provide assistance and backup to other members of the Logistics and Supply Chain team as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Supply Chain and Order to Cash processes, preferably in the food or consumer packaged goods sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of transportation operations, with experience in inventory management and supply planning.
- Familiarity with various transportation modes, including Ocean, Road, and Intermodal.
- Understanding of Customs, Brokerage, and International Trade regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address operational challenges.
- Post-secondary education in a relevant Supply Chain discipline.
- Proficient in SAP and other ERP systems, with a solid understanding of Microsoft applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.
