Position Overview:
As the Warehouse Manager at Maple Supply Chain Management Inc., you will oversee all facets of our Distribution Center's operations in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, this pivotal role requires a strong sense of urgency and accountability for managing and enhancing intricate warehouse and logistics operations, ensuring that every procedure meets our stringent standards for safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:- Leadership and Management: Direct and support warehouse operations, prioritizing safety, service, and financial objectives. Lead the supervisory team and warehouse personnel in achieving these targets, ensuring cohesive operations.
- Operational Excellence: Create and manage effective operational schedules to maximize productivity. Track and assess key performance indicators to ensure alignment with company standards and exceed customer expectations.
- Customer Service: Deliver prompt and professional responses to customer inquiries, requests, and complaints, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and service quality.
- Financial Oversight: Strategically manage the financial operations of the warehouse, focusing on budgeting and cost efficiency. Monitor daily operational expenditures, identify budget discrepancies, and implement cost-reduction strategies. Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports that reflect performance against financial objectives.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to all safety policies, conduct regular inspections and training, and uphold high standards of workplace safety and sanitation.
- Employee Management: Oversee the complete management, training, and development of warehouse staff. Cultivate a culture of excellence by inspiring and motivating the team to achieve optimal productivity and performance.
- Performance Management: Assess and manage departmental performance, monitoring daily KPIs and ensuring efficient task completion.
- Facility Management: Supervise the upkeep of the facility and equipment, ensuring compliance with all safety and warehousing regulations.
- Educational Background: University degree or college diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
- Professional Experience: 3-5 years of progressive experience in supply chain, warehouse, and logistics management, preferably in a high-velocity distribution setting.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead with a strong capacity for building and maintaining relationships.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and experienced with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
- Industry Knowledge: Extensive understanding of warehouse operations, procedures, and legal guidelines relevant to the logistics and supply chain sector.
- Communication and Problem-Solving: Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly.
- Organizational Skills: Highly organized with a strong work ethic, capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Bilingual proficiency: in English and Mandarin, with the ability to read, write, and speak fluently in both languages, is preferred.
