Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Shipper-Receiver to join our team at Eastern Canada International Logistics LTD. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient handling and distribution of goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Shipping Method Determination: Assess and select the most suitable shipping methods for various products.
  • Distribution Scheduling: Organize and plan the distribution of goods to ensure timely delivery.
  • Documentation Preparation: Create and manage essential shipping documents including bills of lading and invoices.
  • Goods Inspection: Verify incoming shipments against invoices and other documentation to ensure accuracy.
  • Record Maintenance: Maintain an organized internal record-keeping system for tracking shipments.
  • Shortage Recording: Document any shortages and reject goods that are damaged.
  • Storage Routing: Direct goods to the appropriate storage locations within the facility.
  • Labeling: Ensure all shipments are properly labeled with identifying information and shipping instructions.
  • Loading Oversight: Supervise the loading and unloading processes to ensure safety and efficiency.
Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: Willingness to train; previous experience in logistics is an asset.
  • Employment Type: Permanent position.
  • Language: Proficiency in English is required.
  • Work Hours: Full-time position requiring 40 hours per week.
