The Cambridge Housing Authority is seeking a dedicated Parts Sales Specialist to enhance our dynamic team. We are in search of an individual who is enthusiastic about providing outstanding service to our esteemed clients who rely on us for their parts needs. Your passion for the automotive sector, coupled with your ability to engage with customers professionally, will be key to your success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist both Wholesale and Retail customers in identifying necessary parts in a courteous, professional, and efficient manner.
- Inform clients about related part requirements and promotions, ensuring they are aware of the complete product range.
- Handle incoming calls, offering pricing information and additional details as needed.
- Review repair estimates to confirm the accuracy of ordered parts and ensure pricing aligns with the estimates.
- Alert the parts manager regarding any out-of-stock items or urgent shop materials.
- Notify customers when their orders are ready for pickup and provide estimated delivery times.
- Prepare orders for delivery to service areas, ensuring all parts are labeled correctly with customer information.
- Follow up on any back-ordered items.
- Collaborate with the Wholesale Account Manager to identify potential new clients.
- Process payments from retail customers or secure credit approvals.
- Ensure all charge transactions are signed by customers and that invoices are issued.
- Maintain organized records of all repair orders, invoices, insurance estimates, and special orders.
- Prepare orders for daily shipment, delivery, or collection.
- Reach out to assigned accounts via phone to promote services.
- Keep the front and rear counter areas tidy and organized.
- Regularly clean computer terminals and printers.
- Participate in all available training programs.
- Stay updated on new products and product enhancements.
- Work with the parts manager to maintain a lost sales tracking system.
- Uphold a professional appearance at all times.
Qualifications and Skills
- 1 - 5 years of experience in the automotive parts industry is preferred.
- Completion of a relevant post-secondary program or training courses is advantageous.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
- Comprehensive understanding of Parts and Service operations.
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- High level of professionalism and integrity.
- Detail-oriented, self-driven, and resourceful.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Office Suite.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
