Role Overview

Collaboration and Impact

Our dynamic and innovative product design team is expanding. As Arista experiences rapid growth, our CloudVision product is continuously evolving with exciting new features. We are seeking a talented designer to lead projects and leave a lasting impact on the product.

In a landscape where computer networks significantly influence data flow across nations, organizations, and individuals, your role as a Product Designer for our CloudVision product is crucial. You will redefine the deployment, management, and monitoring of computer networks. This position offers both excitement and fulfillment: you will creatively address user challenges, simplify complex processes into intuitive user interfaces, and enjoy a profound sense of achievement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify critical business challenges and outline features and user experiences to address them.
  • Convert business and customer requirements into effective, efficient, and aesthetically pleasing solutions.
  • Utilize strong systems thinking to enhance existing workflows and experiences for scalability.
  • Conduct user research and data analysis to comprehend user needs, behaviors, and motivations that drive engagement and customer value realization.
  • Translate abstract ideas into simple, elegant, and innovative designs represented in sketches, diagrams, rapid prototypes, and final design outputs.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering teams to understand customers and markets, develop product strategies, and ensure successful market releases.
  • Monitor and assess the performance of your design solutions, identifying strategies for enhancement and improvement.
  • Exhibit accountability and ownership of your work, ensuring attention to detail at every stage.
  • Contribute to the evolution of design practices and resources, supporting the digital maturity of our organization.
Qualifications

The CloudVision UI encompasses extensive workflows across multiple applications, necessitating a skilled designer who thrives on challenges. This role requires a steadfast commitment to enhancing your design expertise, thinking creatively, and effectively communicating design concepts to our customers.

  • 6+ years of professional experience in an enterprise setting.
  • Expertise in user research, interaction design, visual design, prototyping, and usability testing, demonstrated through an impressive portfolio.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, including typography, color selection, interaction patterns, and user flows, with an understanding of how even minor details can significantly impact the overall user experience.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity in a complex enterprise environment with a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to balance multiple projects and competing priorities while effectively communicating trade-offs.
  • Empathy for users and a customer-centric approach.
  • Able to persuade and influence others to support your ideas through compelling arguments and evidence.
  • Strong analytical skills, utilizing qualitative and quantitative data to inform design decisions.
  • A deep sense of ownership and accountability for the quality of your work.

Compensation and Benefits

The base pay for this role ranges from $115,000 to $163,000 across Canada. Arista offers varying pay ranges based on work location to ensure consistent and competitive compensation aligned with market standards. The actual base pay offered will depend on various factors, including skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and work location.

In addition to base pay, certain roles may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and equity. Employees in Sales positions can participate in Arista's Sales Incentive Plan, which pays commissions based on eligible sales. Employees also receive benefits such as medical, dental, vision, wellbeing, income protection, and a Group Retirement Savings Plan.
