We are in search of a Product Design Manager to oversee our client reporting and billing solutions. Our current offerings enable wealth managers to create and distribute fully personalized, branded reports, customize fee structures based on individual portfolios, and optimize client engagement processes. This capability allows wealth managers to offer tailored financial guidance to their clients, even those with complex portfolios, fostering enduring and trustworthy relationships.
This role involves leading a team of product designers, spearheading the design evolution of our industry-leading products through hands-on collaboration with product and engineering teams, and enhancing user experiences with intuitive and scalable workflows, robust permission features, and the integration of our contemporary design framework, Addepar Design Language.
Key Responsibilities- Establish a design vision and provide strategic guidance for Addepar's reporting and billing solutions, informed by user insights and analytics. Advocate for our clients.
- Collaborate with product management, engineering leaders, and other internal stakeholders to synchronize objectives, product strategies, solutions, development workflows, and design outputs. Drive business success.
- Assess design requirements across various projects. Set and communicate priorities to your team while maintaining accountability.
- Build and nurture a diverse team of product designers that consistently meets expectations.
- Guide, empower, and mentor product designers to excel in their roles. Regularly offer constructive feedback and create opportunities for learning. Promote professional growth.
- Work alongside the design system team and design leaders across Addepar's platform to ensure a seamless client experience that reflects our brand identity.
- Actively contribute to strategic design initiatives. Collaborate with other design leaders to enhance and scale existing design patterns, rituals, and tools. Foster a culture of design excellence.
- Solicit and embrace feedback from peers, team members, collaborators, and cross-functional leadership.
- 7+ years of experience in Product Design, Interaction Design, or UX Design.
- 1+ year of experience in a leadership or management role.
- A portfolio that demonstrates strong user-centered design principles, product thinking, and design fundamentals.
- Proven track record of guiding design and development teams through successful product launches and ongoing enhancements.
- Experience in designing web-based SaaS products for diverse user groups across various segments, from small businesses to large enterprises.
- Commitment to cultivating a positive and impactful design team.
- Enthusiasm for systematic, modular design solutions and practical problem-solving.
- Ability to envision long-term product transformations and plan accordingly.
- Exceptional skills in communication, presentation, collaboration, and relationship building.
- Proficiency in Figma, our preferred design and prototyping tool.
