As the Senior Vice President of Client Relations, you will report directly to the Regional Vice President. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee a designated territory, focusing on driving sales, nurturing existing client relationships, and cultivating new business opportunities related to Dynamic products and services. Additionally, you will provide guidance and mentorship to the Inside Sales Representative assigned to your territory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a specific territory to drive sales and foster new business relationships.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients while actively seeking new prospects.
  • Utilize your extensive knowledge of our offerings and your interpersonal skills to enhance sales and client retention.

Core Duties:

  • Conduct one-on-one, group, and branch meetings with financial advisors to showcase our products and services (targeting 20 meetings weekly);
  • Delegate daily tasks to the Inside Sales Representative and Sales Associate for effective follow-up;
  • Organize and host events, roadshows, and manager meetings;
  • Develop and review a strategic business plan quarterly to boost sales from advisors within your territory;
  • Segment the client base to define service levels and ensure sales across various distribution channels;
  • Maintain and enhance client relationships through regular territory rotations to increase sales and diversify product usage;
  • Make daily outreach to clients who exceed purchase or redemption targets;
  • Manage expenses and oversee the overall budget for the region, including approving co-op requests and charitable donations;
  • Utilize the Diagnostic Selling Process to gather insights during meetings and populate the CRM system;
  • Respond to client inquiries and follow up on leads from the Inside Sales Representative;
  • Generate and develop new business relationships;
  • Mentor the Inside Sales Representative through ongoing coaching and feedback;
  • Present new products, business-building strategies, and tax-planning ideas to advisors;
  • Collaborate extensively within a supportive team environment to meet or exceed sales objectives;
  • Participate in special projects as required;
  • Adhere to Scotiabank Global Sales Principles and consider the Bank's risk appetite in daily activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in commerce, finance, or business administration;
  • Proven track record of advancing into roles with increasing responsibility in the financial services sector;
  • At least 5 years of sales experience;
  • A minimum of 5 years managing a territory;
  • Completion of CSC and/or IFIC certification;
  • Strong individual contributor with a collaborative spirit;
  • Basic proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook);
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management systems;
  • Enrollment in an industry designation program (CIM, CFA, CFP, etc.) is preferred;
  • Detail-oriented with excellent time-management abilities;
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills;
  • Ability to stay informed on trends in the financial services industry;
  • Proactive self-starter with a knack for maximizing sales opportunities;
  • Willingness to travel extensively.
