Position: Senior Vice President - Manufacturing Sector

Overview:
An esteemed global leader in the manufacturing industry is in search of a Senior Vice President to assist the business owner in navigating the transition as he nears retirement. This pivotal role is a significant step towards ultimately becoming the CEO.

Compensation:
The position provides a competitive base salary, a generous performance-based bonus, comprehensive health benefits (including medical, dental, and life insurance), along with additional incentives. As the Senior Vice President, you will become an integral part of a well-established organization and play a crucial role in shaping its bright future.

Company Structure:
The organization operates four divisions: two in manufacturing, one in importation, and one offering OEM value-added services. In this capacity, you will oversee personnel management, establish key performance indicators (KPIs), develop strategic initiatives, and manage all facets of the business. You will lead a team of over 100 employees, including direct reports in Sales, Manufacturing, and Finance, preparing to step into the CEO role upon the owner's retirement.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operational Management: Oversee and coordinate activities across four business divisions, including two local manufacturing facilities, import operations, and OEM production.
  2. Strategic Direction: Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to formulate and execute strategic plans aimed at achieving corporate objectives and enhancing profitability.
  3. Financial Oversight: Monitor financial performance and set KPIs to evaluate operational efficiency and profitability across business units.
  4. Leadership Development: Provide guidance and direction to a diverse team, including the VP of Manufacturing, plant managers, production managers, and department heads across finance, manufacturing, and sales.
  5. Interdepartmental Collaboration: Promote teamwork across departments to improve productivity, resolve challenges, and streamline business processes.
  6. Performance Accountability: Implement systems to ensure teams are held accountable for their performance, fostering operational excellence and adherence to quality standards.
  7. Reporting and Insights: Regularly assess performance metrics and financial reports, offering insights and recommendations to the CEO and board of directors.
  8. Hands-on Engagement: Maintain an active presence, particularly on the manufacturing floor, to stay connected with operations and proactively address critical issues.
Qualifications:
  1. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is required (this is non-negotiable).
  2. Demonstrated experience in senior leadership roles, including managing large teams within a company or through business ownership.
  3. Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  4. High level of bilingualism to engage with international clients (this is a firm requirement).
  5. A successful history of establishing KPIs, strategic planning, and execution to drive business growth.
  6. Extensive experience in financial management and budget oversight.
  7. Prior ownership experience or significant operational leadership is required.
  8. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders.
  9. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
