Position: Senior Vice President - Manufacturing Sector

Overview:
An esteemed international manufacturing leader is on the lookout for a Senior Vice President to assist the business owner in navigating the company's transition as he nears retirement. This pivotal role is a significant step towards ultimately becoming the CEO.

Compensation:
The position offers a competitive base salary, a substantial performance-based bonus, comprehensive health coverage (including medical, dental, and life insurance), and additional incentives. As Senior Vice President, you will integrate into a well-established organization and play a crucial role in shaping its promising future.

Company Structure:
The company operates four divisions: two in manufacturing, one in import, and one providing OEM value-added services. In this capacity, you will be responsible for personnel management, establishing KPIs, developing strategic initiatives, and overseeing all facets of the business. You will manage a workforce of over 100 employees with direct reports in Sales, Manufacturing, and Finance, preparing to assume the CEO role upon the owner's retirement.

Position Summary:
The Senior Vice President (SVP) will report directly to the CEO and will oversee all operational and strategic dimensions of the business, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and driving growth across all business units.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operational Oversight: Supervise and coordinate activities across four business units, including two local manufacturing facilities, import processes, and OEM production.
  2. Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans in collaboration with the CEO and executive team to achieve corporate goals and maximize profitability.
  3. Financial Management: Monitor financial performance and establish KPIs to track operational efficiency and business unit profitability.
  4. Team Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to a diverse team including VP of Manufacturing, plant managers, production managers, and functional heads across finance, manufacturing, and sales.
  5. Cross-functional Collaboration: Foster collaboration between departments to enhance productivity, resolve issues, and optimize business processes.
  6. Accountability and Performance: Implement systems to hold teams accountable for performance, ensuring operational excellence and adherence to quality standards.
  7. Reporting and Analysis: Regularly review performance metrics and financial reports, providing insights and recommendations to the CEO and board of directors.
  8. Hands-on Involvement: Maintain a hands-on approach, particularly on the manufacturing floor, to stay connected with operations and address critical issues proactively.
Required Qualifications:
  1. MBA or an equivalent advanced degree is required (this is non-negotiable).
  2. Proven experience in senior leadership roles, including managing large teams within a company or through business ownership.
  3. Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  4. Very high level of bilingualism to work with clients internationally (This is a firm requirement).
  5. A successful track record in establishing KPIs, strategic planning, and execution to drive business growth.
  6. Extensive experience in financial management and budget oversight.
  7. Prior ownership experience or significant operational leadership is required.
  8. Ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders.
