If you’re a well-rounded HR Generalist looking for an opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of small business leaders in our community, we have an opportunity for you.

My Smart HR is a successful boutique HR firm specializing in the small business market. Our clients are small business employers under 50 employees who rely on us and our expertise to provide guidance, support, and HR project work to help them be successful. As the Lead HR Associate, you’ll be working with our team to oversee client projects, advise on multiple HR issues and best practices, mentor our Associates, and take the lead on working closely with our clients, managers and leaders in their day-to-day operations. You will also have the opportunity to dive in and work on projects alongside the team.

We’re looking for someone who:

- Has an HR Degree or Diploma with a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a senior HR role, either as an employee or a contractor
- Has knowledge and understanding of HR and people best practices
- Knows Employment Standards and Human Rights regulations and how to find accurate answers quickly
- Is comfortable working with business owners and leaders in an advisory capacity
- Prioritizes quality work in all aspects of HR service delivery
- Has solid organizational skills and is technologically savvy
- Has a success rate of leading teams and business owners or managers

Our high-performing HR Associates are contractors and this role will be contract as well. Although the nature of working with small businesses means some availability during office hours is required, we’re super flexible about when the work gets done. We love working together and learn from each other every day as we all bring our best to the people we serve.
