As an HR Associate, you'll support various HR functions, including program and systems management, policy implementation, recruitment, and compliance. You'll work closely with the leadership team and various colleagues to enhance current systems and processes.

**The salary range for this position is**:

- **Recruitment range: $65,871 - $82,208 **maximum starting salary is determined through knowledge, experience and internal equity.
- **Performance range: starting salary to max of $94,461 **is available through annual performance increases.

- Job Summary**Mandate/Core Purpose of Role**:
Reporting to the Manager, Compensation and Recruitment, the HR Associate supports program and systems across HR specialty areas of services including benefits administration, disability management, compensation and staff recruitment. The position works closely with the Director, Total Compensation and other team members to manage program initiatives and contribute to the overall success of the department.

**Objective**:

- Offer guidance and advice to supervisors and managers within established frameworks like collective agreements and policies to address HR-related inquiries effectively.
- Create and refine tools and resources to enhance program delivery across various HR disciplines, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in operations.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and implement HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with regulations.
- Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs, disability management initiatives, and compensation analysis while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and university policies.
- Collaborates with team members to oversee Recruitment Processes and Systems.
- Job RequirementsUniversity degree in related field such as Human Resources Management, public or business administration or other social or health related field and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in human resources field, in a multi-level, multi-union environment or an equivalent combination of education, experience and training.

- Strong understanding of information systems, business software and data management.
- HR certification (e.g., CPHR, CCP) is an asset.
