Our Packaging Services Business Unit offers a series of primary and secondary packaging services for pharmaceutical, natural health product, medical device, personal care, wellness, and specialty markets.

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for obtaining new business for the Packaging Services Business Unit.
**More about your responsibilities**:
- Identify and develop new customer relationships by leveraging lead generation, sales planning, and facilitating meetings. Close sales and provide seamless onboarding support to new customers.
- Collaborate closely with the Senior Vice President, Packaging Services to research and target potential clients with a thorough understanding of current available plant capacity with a vision to expand based on new potential business opportunities.
- Develop and articulate brand values, promises, and value propositions through impactful marketing communications.
- Support in commercial outreach and follow-up with clients’ post-sales and marketing campaigns to nurture relationships and drive business growth.
- Lead engaging presentations to showcase our solutions and capabilities to prospective clients.
- Participate in the budgeting process and conduct quarterly business reviews with strategic accounts to ensure alignment with financial goals.
- Evaluate account profitability through detailed margin report analysis to inform strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with the Business Development & Sales Support Manager in the coordination and strategy related to RFI’s/RFQ’s/RFP’s for new clients.
- Take the lead in organizing and attending relevant industry trade shows to network and showcase our offerings.
- Actively participate in industry and client association functions to stay informed about industry trends and foster professional relationships.
- Work directly with the Senior Vice President of Packaging Services to develop commercialization plans for new products, ensuring alignment with market needs and company objectives.
**What you’ll bring**:

- A Degree or Diploma in business management/sales or a relevant discipline.
- 5-10 years’ sales experience in Pharmaceutical CMO/CDMO/CPO space - Rx and/or OTC, advanced manufacturing equipment, medical devices, or services.
- Contract Packaging Services experience, ideally in the OTC/RX space.
- Knowledge of drug development, manufacturing processes, and corporate clients in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries is an asset.
- Exceptional communication & influencing skills, and the ability to work with people at all levels with ease.
- A continuous improvement and customer-focused mindset with a sense of urgency and a passion for success.
- Strong knowledge, comfortable and competent working with numbers and metrics; ability to engage and lead teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
- A collaborative, creative problem-solver mindset.
- Leadership experience is preferred.
