**Business Development Manager**
MacMillan is growing and building for the future. We are excited to add a Business Development Manager to our team to help promote MacMillan’s solutions.
Reporting to the Senior Sales & Marketing Manager, you will have the opportunity to utilize your skills and experience to drive business growth and maximize your sales potential. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with clients, and developing strategies to drive growth and revenue.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who doesn’t shy away from call planning and activity, is excited by a fast-paced environment and the chance to offer flexible, customizable solutions in a high-demand sector.
**Responsibilities**
- Process requests for information and proposals - Manage the solution development and quoting process for Macmillan service offerings in collaboration with management
- Develop a network of contacts to attract new business to MacMillan based on established goals and in compliance with our standards
- Plan, prospect, and market your territory and market segments following our strategic plan, marketing, and sales strategies
- Develop your business network through social networks, public relations activities, trade events and referrals
- Utilize and leverage our CRM to report on all sales activities, including cold calling and face-to-face meetings
- Produce, comment, and analyse monthly sales forecasts
- Ensure a smooth buying and onboarding experience for customers gather feedback from customers for use in various business initiatives
**Required Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field
- 3+ years of business development experience, in supply chain or logistics is a must
- Experience working with retailers and e-tailers is desired
- Experience meeting and exceeding pre-determined performance metrics
- Knowledge of market trends in supply chain and logistics
- Valid driver’s license
