Bookkeeper/administrative Assistant

**Full Job Description**
You will be responsible for preparing and assisting with: bookkeeping files, payroll, administration and assistance to the firm partners as needed. You must be able to prioritize and manage your workload and filing deadlines independently without assistance.
The successful person should have great verbal and written communication skills, as well as problem-solving skills.
This is a part-time position offering flexible hours. Working remotely is not possible, must be available to work in the office during normal business hours.
The work will be between 15-25 hours a week depending on the workload.
**What you will do**:
Support clients by delivering a variety of assignments including:
- Providing full-cycle bookkeeping for various clients as assigned to you
- General administrative duties
- Preparing and reconciling GST returns
- Prepare/calculate/process payroll for various clients
- Preparation of T4s/T5s
- Assist partners with the preparation of year ends and Compilation engagements
- Support the Partners with various financial tasks as required
- Other special projects and administrative tasks as assigned
- Answer and redirect telephone calls to the appropriate individuals

- Must be able to perform duties independently without close supervision;
- Must be able to maintain sensitive and confidential information;
- Ambitious and willing to take initiative
**Experience/Education**:
- Experience working in an office environment would be an asset, but not required
- Financial/Accounting/Bookkeeping experience would be an asset, but not required
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 - 25 per week
