About the Role

EPFC is looking for a Jr to Intermediate level Buyer to join our Supply Chain Management team.

This role will be responsible for the sourcing and buying of bulks such as PVF, Electrical, Steel, and other materials and services in support of EPFC's Fabrication / Manufacturing and Construction demand.

The role requires working knowledge with related materials, fabrication, manufacturing, construction, and requisition to pay processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Is aware of the need to meet project quality standards and schedules, monitors to ensure targets are met, may seek support and advise.
  • Effective AML compliance, labeling / tagging, and accurate MTR's reviewed and submitted.
  • May get low to intermediate level quotes under supervision with emphasis on price and delivery.
  • Buys low to intermediate risk commodities, provides constructive feedback to suppliers with support.
  • Is aware of which terms and conditions are standard in contracts and how they should be applied.
  • Monitors their orders closely, understands the need to escalate issues.
  • Introduced to receiving processes, may be asked to update PO back orders and receipts in support of Invoice matching.
  • Proactively mitigates wrong quantities or backorders of the material.
  • Is aware of the role of performance and its impact on the project.
  • Ensures that stakeholders who relies upon the provision of information receives a correct & timely response.

Your QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 23 years purchasing experience, preferably in Fabrication, Manufacturing or Construction with working knowledge with the following processes:

  • Requisition & Approvals
  • Purchase Order Creation and Ordering
  • Order Confirmation, Tracking, Expediting, and Reporting
  • Order Delivery & Receipt, including OS&D's, and Claim Management
  • Invoice Checking for Payment
  • Working knowledge of price certainty, delivery certainty, and the value supplier services.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office including SharePoint, Excel, Word, MS Teams, etc.
