About the Role

This critical position involves fostering positive employer-employee relations across the GNWT, promoting a harmonious approach to employment dispute resolution. The successful candidate will play a key role in advising and representing the employer in civil claims, human rights complaints, arbitrations, and other employment-related matters.

Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice on employment contract administration, dispute management, employee discipline, and human rights in the workplace.
  • Work closely with management to resolve complex issues and contribute to the development of government policy and legislation in employment relations.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant law, government-wide policies, practices, and initiatives.
Requirements

A relevant bachelor's degree, such as business administration, industrial relations, or commerce, coupled with 3 years in a relevant field, including at least 1 year as a labour relations officer or human resource generalist.
