Compensation

The annual salary for this position is estimated to be around $90,000-$120,000 CAD, depending on experience.

This compensation package includes various benefits, such as comprehensive health insurance, pension plan, and generous vacation time.

Job Responsibilities

As a Strategic Labour Relations Specialist, you will play a key role in fostering and promoting strong, positive employer-employee relations across the GNWT. Your responsibilities will include advising and representing the employer in civil claims, human rights complaints, arbitrations, and other employment-related matters.

You will provide expert, timely, and consistent advice on a wide range of topics, including employment contract administration, dispute management, employee discipline, and human rights in the workplace.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant bachelor's degree such as business administration, industrial relations, or commerce
  • At least 3 years of experience in a related field, including at least 1 year as a labour relations officer or a human resource generalist
