High-Performing Sales Representative Wanted for Ontario Market

As a seasoned sales professional, you will be responsible for selling visual display products to architects, general contractors, educational institutions, hospitals, and office furniture providers across Ontario. You will primarily be selling to purchasing departments.
This role is a mixture of new business development as well as managing existing accounts. This is a newly created position and will be reporting to the Sales Manager. The estimated salary range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000 plus commissions.
Compensation and Benefits
The total estimated earnings for this position are upwards of $145,000 in the first year. Additional benefits include health benefits, business-related travel expenses, a laptop, and a cell phone.

Office Location and Sales Territory
Headquartered in Mississauga, Ontario, this role involves working from the office five days a week. The sales territory covers Ontario, with potential expansion plans to include Quebec and eventually Western Canada. Full-time hours are Monday to Friday.
Experience and Background Requirements
A minimum of 5-15 years of experience in business-to-business sales is required. Experience in commercial architecture, design, or construction is an asset. Previous experience selling to purchasing managers is also beneficial.
Technical Skills
Intermediate-level proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, MS Word, CRM software, and other relevant tools is necessary for success in this role.

You will be selling visual display products to a variety of clients, including general contractors, architects, hospitals, school boards, colleges, and universities. Average project sizes range from $75,000 to $150,000+, with average revenue by customer exceeding $1,000,000+. The sales cycle typically lasts between 1-2 days to 6-12 months.

Typical Day and Duties
Your day will consist of 50% new business development and 50% account management. Duties include servicing existing accounts, obtaining orders, and establishing new accounts through daily planning and organization. You will be responsible for product sales and marketing to outlined customer regions, managing the sales pipeline, and meeting annual targets. Intermediate knowledge of ASI Group VDP products is necessary for success in this role.
Leads and Travel
50% of your time will be spent on prospecting/cold calling, while the remaining 50% will focus on following up on warm leads. Overnight travel is less than 10% in the first year, with more significant travel expected later.
Sales Support and Training
Job shadowing, mentoring, two weeks of sales training, and two weeks of technical training are provided to ensure your success in this role. Within two to three weeks, you will be selling to clients.
