Sales Representative

The company is looking for a skilled Sales Representative to join their team in Ontario. As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for selling visual display products to architects, general contractors, educational institutions, hospitals, and office furniture providers.
This role involves a mix of new business development and account management. You will primarily be selling to purchasing departments and work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions.
Average project size is $75,000 - $150,000+, and average revenue by customer is $1,000,000+. The sales cycle can vary from 1-2 days to 6-12 months.
To succeed in this role, you will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. A strong understanding of commercial architecture, design, construction industry, and experience selling to purchasing managers are also assets.
**Compensation and Benefits:**
We offer a competitive base salary of $90,000 - $110,000, plus commissions. Additionally, you will receive health benefits, business-related/travel expenses, laptop, and cell phone.

**Office Location and Sales Territory:**
You will be based in Mississauga, Ontario, and your sales territory will cover the province of Ontario, with potential expansion plans to include Quebec and eventually Western Canada.
**Experience, Background, and Education Requirements:**
You should have 5-15 years of business-to-business sales experience, with a strong background in commercial architecture, design, construction industry, and experience selling to purchasing managers.
**Technical Skills:**
You should have intermediate-level skills in Excel, PowerPoint, MS Word, and Salesforce.com CRM.
**Leads:**
You will be generating 50% of your leads through prospecting/cold calling and 50% through following up on warm leads.
**Overnight Travel:**
Less than 10% overnight travel in the first year, with more significant travel required later.
**Support and Training:**
You will receive job shadowing, mentoring, 2-3 weeks of sales training, and 2-3 weeks of technical training.
