Establish a strong presence in the Ontario territory as a Regional Sales Director, driving business growth through strategic planning and execution.

Job Overview

As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and executing a business plan that meets and exceeds sales targets. This role requires a proven track record of success in fast-paced environments, with a strong focus on building relationships with veterinary customers and promoting innovative solutions.

Responsibilities
  1. Territory Results:
  • Develop and execute a territory business review to achieve goals by improving access and sales.
  • Promote a highly technical and innovative product portfolio to a sophisticated audience.
  • Demonstrate tenacity, constantly prospecting territory to deepen relationships and grow sales.
  • Grow network through conferences, specialty practices, and veterinary colleges.
  • Report goals, sales activities, market information data frequently and in a timely fashion.
Territory Management:
  • Record sales activity and customer data in Salesforce database accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Utilize Salesforce to plan, segment, and prioritize.
  • Analyze sales results on a bi-monthly basis and manage expenses within budget guidelines.
  • Host and attend events such as local VMAs, KOL dinners, conferences, including virtual events, etc.
Communication Skills:
  • Execute commercial insights to educate, tailor, and take charge of sales conversations and closes sales.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills that articulate technical knowledge of Virbac portfolio and competition.
  • Demonstrate active listening skills to understand customer needs and wants.
  • Communicate features and benefits to persuade commitment to Virbac products.
Resource Management:
  • Constantly utilize Salesforce to plan, segment, and prioritize.
  • Analyze sales results on a bi-monthly basis and manage expenses within budget guidelines.

The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, adaptable mindset, and ability to effectively manage a territory in a fast-paced environment. Daily travel in the field is required to drive business in a territory covering the Greater Toronto region bordering Highway 400 and Vaughan to Oshawa and to the shore of Lake Simcoe in the Keswick area. Candidates are preferred to reside within the territory.

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, plus additional benefits such as comprehensive health insurance, retirement savings plan, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
